Strategy for everyday trips lives in getting around Lagos. This page is the reference sheet.
Inside a city
| Ride | Flag fall | Per km | Minutes per km | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| πΆ Trek | Free | β | 12 | Free, but slow, and long walks tire you out. |
| πΊ Keke | β¦100 | β¦5 | 3.4 | Three people on the back bench. |
| π Danfo | β¦100 | β¦5 | 3 | "Enter with your change!" |
| ποΈ Okada | β¦150 | β¦8 | 2 | Fast. Hold on tight. |
| π Cab | β¦300 | β¦15 | 2.3 | AC and comfort. |
| π Your car | Free | β¦6 | 2.1 | Daddy's Prado. You only pay for fuel. |
Trip time is distance Γ minutes per km, plus a traffic delay that depends on the mode: okada barely notices go-slow, keke gets 80% of it, danfo and cabs get all of it. Your own car is close to a cab in speed and pays only fuel; a hired driver makes it quicker and pays the fuel for you.
Between cities
Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt are separate maps. Each has a hub you arrive at: Eko Hotels in Lagos, and the airports in Abuja and Port Harcourt.
| Route | Night bus | Economy flight | Premium | Business | First |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lagos β Abuja | β¦22,000 | β¦150,000 | β¦270,000 | β¦600,000 | β¦1,350,000 |
| Lagos β Port Harcourt | β¦20,000 | β¦120,000 | β¦216,000 | β¦480,000 | β¦1,080,000 |
| Abuja β Port Harcourt | β¦21,000 | β¦140,000 | β¦252,000 | β¦560,000 | β¦1,260,000 |
Night bus
Buy a ticket at Jibowu Motor Park in Yaba (Lagos), Jabi Motor Park (Abuja) or Waterlines (Port Harcourt). It is the cheapest option but the overnight ride costs Energy and Hygiene, and you arrive with the "night bus body" moodlet. Road snacks (gala and pure water) are sold along the way.
Flights
Book at the airport. Four cabins, priced as a multiple of Economy:
| Cabin | Price vs economy | Seat | Perk |
|---|---|---|---|
| πΊ Economy | Γ1 | 3-3 rows | Your seat, a drink and a small chops pack |
| ποΈ Premium Economy | Γ1.8 | 2-2, more legroom | A wider seat, more legroom, a hot meal |
| π₯ Business | Γ4 | Lie-flat shells | Lounge access, a lie-flat shell, champagne and a proper meal |
| π First Class | Γ9 | Private suites | Your own suite, the chef's menu, chauffeur to the plane |
Private jets and choppers
Jets are bought in Buy mode's Luxury tab (β¦1.2B small, β¦3B mid, β¦9B large) and charge a trip fee each time you fly. You can also charter a chopper at the airport. Jet owners see their own cabin and crew on the flight.
Player-owned bus lines
Players can start an intercity bus company and run buses on the routes, competing with the state lines for passengers:
| Bus | Seats | Price | Fuel per trip | Perk |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| π HiAce | 14 | β¦18M | β¦30,000 | Cheapest to run. Fills fast on busy days |
| π Luxury coach | 59 | β¦110M | β¦130,000 | AC and reclining seats: riders pick it first |
| π Night sleeper | 30 | β¦220M | β¦140,000 | Berths: riders arrive rested, and pay double |
Each bus needs a driver on payroll, plus dues and insurance every week. Passengers pick buses by price and rating, so a well-rated line fills up faster.
Things that go wrong
Travel has its own small risks, which travel insurance can cover:
| Risk | Chance per trip | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Pickpocket on the bus | 8% | Up to 8% of your cash (max β¦300,000) |
| Breakdown | 10% | Up to 6% of the fare, plus time, energy and hunger |
| Flat tyre | 8% | β¦25,000 |
| Police checkpoint | 6% | β¦10,000 |
| Accident | 3% | β¦80,000 bill and lost energy |
| Lost luggage | 6β14% by cabin | Part of the bag's value |
Trip insurance costs a small percentage of the fare (6% on flights, 10% on buses, 8% when driving).
