Lagos Rep is your account level: a running score of how established you are in the city. It is the closest thing Lagos Life has to badges. Titles unlock as you level, some careers lock their higher ranks behind it, and other players see your title.
The titles
The XP number under each title is the total needed to reach that level from zero. Each level costs 60 more XP than the last: level 1 → 2 is 100 XP, level 2 → 3 is 160 XP, and so on. Working out where you stand is easier with the Lagos Rep calculator.
Names come straight out of Lagos street talk: a JJC ("Johnny Just Come") is a newcomer, an Area Pikin is a local, an Odogwu is a big man who has earned respect, and Oga at the Top is the person in charge.
How you earn Rep
Rep XP comes from the things that make you part of the city:
- Working shifts and getting promoted.
- Daily streaks (below).
- Big moments: weddings, anniversaries (+60 Rep each), graduation, big nights out.
- Social activity with other players.
Daily streaks
Log in and do something with another player every day to build a streak. Day 7 is the big chest:
What counts as "doing something together" for the streak:
Miss a day and you can still save the streak for a while, but the chest resets if you fall too far behind.
Rep cools off
If you stop playing, Rep slowly cools. After three idle days you lose about 3% a day, but never below half of your best. So a week off does not wipe your title, but a month away will drop you a rung or two.
Badges
Besides your Rep title, a few badges show on your profile:
- Charterhouse badges for funding prizes and bursaries at Charterhouse Lagos: 🏅 Patron, 🎗️ Benefactor and 🏛️ Founders' Circle. They cost from ₦1 billion upward, so they are the real status symbol of the game.
- Old Carthusian for parents whose children finished at Charterhouse.
- Couple goals milestones for dates, trips, cozy nights and anniversaries (see relationships).
